Let Lisa Remove all the Moving Day Frustrations You Experience with these Simple Hacks

Inevitably, you will run into a few obstacles when moving into or out of your home.

Lisa has a few tricks up her sleeve from her years of experience in real estate and interior design to ease your transition.

Dryer Sheet Hack

Dryer sheets have continued life after they have been used in the dryer.  Use dryer sheets to buff out water spots from glass, mirrors, and shower doors.  Dryer sheets also magically wipe baseboards clean in seconds.

Fragrant Garbage Disposal

Clean your stinky disposal with a lemon or lime.  Either use scraps from cooking with citrus or cut a few small slices and put them in the garbage disposal to remove any lingering odors.

Stainless Steel That Shines

Clean stainless steel with a microfiber cloth and rubbing alcohol.  Nothing more is needed to remove pesky fingerprints.

Solving a Stripped Screw

Stripped a screw?  Put a rubber band over the head and try again with your screwdriver.  The rubber band will give the screwdriver the additional grip it needs to remove the screw.

Rugs That Don’t Slip

Caulk the back of your area rugs to keep them from sliding on hardwood or tile.  Flip your rug over and run lines of caulk approximately 12 inches apart down the width of your rug.  Let dry and voila – you’ve created your own gripping pad for your rug.

Unclog Drains

Unclog your sink drain with vinegar, baking soda and boiling water.  Just pour ½ cup of baking soda into the effected drain, followed by 1 cup of vinegar.  Cover the drain and wait 15 minutes.  Once the time is up, pour one gallon of boiling water down the drain.

Keep Your Kitchen Sparkling

Want an easy way to clean stove knobs, grates and drip pans?  Throw them in the dishwasher!

The Hammer Trick

Glue a magnet to the bottom of your hammer so you never have to hold nails in your mouth!

The Right Key

Use nail polish to differentiate your keys.
